OCR: JNO April 20, 1996 HST(?) Oct 11, 1996 6 months earlier. Stars in starfield Possibly Hubble Image (HST) elongated due to time lapse image Dated 961110-19 Object to right NOT elongated & displaying a vertical funnel Chuck Shramek Nov 14, 1996 JNO Nov 15, 1996 Chucks image (1 of 60+ images) Japanese National Observatory image One day after Chuck's image No object JNO Nov 16, 1996 The streaking or elongation of stars in the starfield demonstrates a time lapse image. The comet is tracked by the tele- scope and therefore is not distorted. The "object' said to be a star is not streaked with companion stars in the starfield, and is therefore unlikely a star. It appears that the mysterious object is appearing and disappearing. Note that in each image, what is said to be "diffracted light" causing 'spires" to extend from the object occurs in every Japanese National Observatory image photo. Stars of almost equal brilliance Two days after Chuck's image are NOT exhibiting this same "bloom." Object reappears (right, bottom) Again, starfield elongated, object NOT enign www.anc.net
